Seva Frangos Art was established in 1998 to provide independent advice and services to individuals, corporate clients and public organizations and collections, on the purchase, collection, exhibition, curation and restoration of indigenous and contemporary art.
Significant and yet temporary exhibitions were organized in Perth and Melbourne, and this led to a permanent gallery in Subiaco, Perth.
The Gallery
Opened November 2006, the gallery is a boutique consultancy with a primary focus on promoting and establishing Australia’s finest indigenous artists. The gallery credits its reputation to the long standing integrity of the Director, Seva Frangos.
Representing contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island artists, Seva Frangos Art operates in partnership with a number of recognised art centres and peak representative organizations to present artworks from leading artists and artworks sourced from across Australia.
The gallery in Subiaco offers a regular program of exhibitions and collection highlight displays and provides an opportunity to hold discussions with various groups and artists on the artworks.

Contemporary Australian Aboriginal Art
The growing interest in Australian indigenous art lies in the exceptional, innovative, striking images and the spiritual aspects of many of the artworks. As inspirational contemporary artists, many of them are inseparable from their traditional foundations, culture and land.
Seva Frangos Art represents and exhibits artists in association with recognised art centres throughout Australia and in particular art centres within the East Kimberley region and across the ‘top end’ of Australia.
The art centres include the Warmun Art Centre, Turkey Creek, Waringarri Aboriginal Arts, Kununurra, Maningrida Arts and Crafts, Western Arnhem Land, Jilamara Arts and Crafts, Melville Island and Tiwi Design, Bathurst Island. Artworks from these areas are produced in earth ochres and pigments. New artworks are constantly selected.
Amongst this apparent explosion of artistic production, a new generation of artists is also emerging. Acclaimed as the ‘new wave’ and acknowledged for their independence, they impress with artworks that capture both the mastery of simplicity and the genius of complexity together with the creative interpretation of a traditional culture.
Seva Frangos Art also sources a wide range of artworks for clients and on request through art centres and from reputable organisations, galleries and agents across Australia.
The list of artists provided is a selection of leading artists represented by the Seva Frangos Art.
Information and images by all artists is accessed through the Exhibition Program and Stockroom.
